integrated approaches to geochemistry in gold exploration at the AIG Seminar in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria
Dennis presented a talk at Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa on November 15 entitled "Integrated approaches to geochemistry in gold exploration".
The presentation covered recent advances in exploration sampling for gold using clay separates, integration of regional stream sediment data with geology and geography, and integration of geochemical and mineralogical data in exploration drilling. The latter topic involves a discussion of semi-quantitative XRD and hyperspectral data from the central Victorian goldfields, including the Ballarat and Fosterville deposits. The conference was preceded by a turbidite workshop presented by Dr. Rod Boucher. It was an informative two days!
