Telemark [Te:ləmɑrk] is a county in Norway, bordering Vestfold, Buskerud, Hordaland, Rogaland and Aust-Agder. The county administration is in Skien.
Telemark skiing is a skiing technique that combines elements of Alpine and Nordic skiing. Telemark skiing is named after the Telemark region of Norway, where the discipline originated. Sondre Norheim is often credited for first demonstrating the turn in ski races, which included cross country, slalom and jumping, in Norway around 1868.

Telemark Geosciences therefore brings together two great passions of its Principal in its name, while focusing on the provision of geochemical consulting services.
Telemark Geosciences Inc was formed in 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia and was joined in 2018 by the antipodean equivalent, Telemark Geosciences Pty Ltd, in north-east Victoria, Australia. Building upon the expertise of its founder and principal consultant, Dennis Arne, Telemark Geosciences offers expert geochemical consulting services in the following areas:
- Geochemical data compilations
- Geochemical survey design and selection of appropriate analytical techniques
- Training of field crews and implementation of sampling programs
- Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) programs
- Interpretation of geochemical data and integration with other data sets
- Presentation of results through technical reports, in-house work shops and public short courses
Working with a global network of other expert consultants and contractors (see below), Telemark Geosciences is able to pull together integrated teams to suite specific projects and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of projects.
